Unparalleled Selection of Vintage Sputnik Chandeliers
Clearly drawing some of its design inspiration from the series of Soviet satellites first launched in 1957, the vintage Sputnik chandelier has charmed designers and design aficionados with its characteristically Atomic Age appeal. Venice, Italy-born designer Gino Sarfatti, who had founded the lighting brand Arteluce, has been widely associated with the starburst design that is such a distinctive trademark of the original Sputnik light, but there are innumerable iterations and variations on what is conventionally considered a trademark of mid-century modern design. Chairish’s lighting options include Sputnik ceiling lights, both vintage and more modern; as well as brass Sputnik chandeliers designed to thrill mid-century design lovers everywhere. Some of our current and former favorites of those Sputnik ceiling lights appearing in our extensive virtual inventory include modern-day Jonathan Adler nickel Sputnik lamps, crystal-adorned sconces; and a range of vintage Sputnik lights crafted in materials as diverse as aged iron, brass, gilt metal, chrome and more.
