The body of the lamp is meant to look like a vase with rooted plants. The plants are are all made out of cast metal and they look like they are floating in the water. They are held in place by a thin disc of brass that caps the vase. The shade is made out of solid brass. The plants are made out of steel. The lamp needs new wiring. There is some pitting on the brass. See less
