Series Poetic Statement: Portal of Peace. 40" x 40" Eco-Friendly Textured Oil, Metallic Silvers & Rust including Silver Leaf, and Mixed-Media Statement Painting. Portal V by Morata is a One-of-a-Kind Contemporary Textured Metallic Artwork using only Organic Art Mediums healthy for our homes, offices, and earth.
(3) 7.1 mm Swarovski crystals strategically embedded into painting for additional subtle sparkle effect. I chose a small grouping of (3) Swarovski as this is a spiritual number to me, and is a number that is significant in many world religions. Eco-Friendly Crushed Stone from Italy with international recyclable mediums are layered under the Oil and metallic pigments of silver and rust. Heat is applied before glazing. Painting sides are 1.5" canvas with lightly textured neutral grey edges; requiring no frame. Eco-friendly Archival Matte Glaze completes this unique one-of-a-kind original artwork. .
Colors: Neutrals of Beige, Taupe, White, Cream, Grey, Brown, Silver, Rust, Charcoal, Black, Deep Purple (Eggplant tones), and a very small amount of Pink. * Set of (2) large pieces currently available if complimentary companions pieces are needed for adjacent walls, or horizontal or vertical XXL wall effect (Portal V and VI).
Series Inspiration: Initially from beach portal on Treasure Island Beach behind The Montage Laguna while painting en plein air, and then further inspiration from my observations of other nature portals in desert and mountain regions. I view this specialty series in different ways; nature; mountains, rocks, castles, fantasy, planetary, spiritual. What do you see? I believe this series evokes conversation piece qualities. less
