Luxuriant pattern and color reign in this exquisite pair of Mackenzie Style Diminutive Italian Parcel Gilt Oval Medallion Back Chairs masterfully handcrafted by highly skilled Italian artisans with intricately carved crest and seatrails in a patinated gold and platinum polychrome finish. The chairs are upholstered with a custom tailored plush seat cushion in a courtly black and white striped silk satin fabric with welted cording, tassel ties and a royal ruby red silk satin diamond patterned medallion chair back, reminiscent of the throne room at Buckingham Palace, raised on round fluted and tapered legs. Custom Made in Italy. Circa mid-late 20th Century.
