Take a look at this beautifully handwoven lacey rattan and raffia, rounded corner square basket. The lacey design element portion of the basket is similar-in-style to Teneriffe basketry which come from all points around the world, Italy, Bolivia, Canary Islands, the United States, just to name a few; this beauty was handcrafted in China sometime in the 1960s. It measures 8¾” x 8¾” x 3¼” W/D/H; interior 7¾ x 7¾ x 2¾” W/D/H; weight 3 oz; handwoven from rattan and raffia; colors are naturally aged hues of pale wheat and soft ecru. In excellent condition with minimal wear. Faded paper makers label. The rounded corners offer an elegant shape not often seen in square basketry. For a basket aficionado, this beauty should be a must have.
