Carafe of clear glass in the form of a drop, the wall divided into four segments by vertical cuts, three segments with elaborately cut floral, foliate and volute bindings, fourth segment with attached, raised handle of glass, foot with mounted, projecting stand ring of silver, framed by laurel and cross-band relief, the upper part of the glass body set in silver mount with wide beak spout, hinged, domed, lid with radiating fluting and laurel band, and button-shaped thumb rest, continuation of the segmentation of the glass body on the neck collar, decoration with laurel and acanthus leaf motifs. Cylindrical glass insert for ice cubes with silver screw cap, gilding on the inside of the lid. Dimensions: height: 29.5 cm / 11.61 in width: 18.0 cm / 7.08 in depth: 12.0 cm / 4.72 in Hallmarks: Minerva Head - 'Minerve casquée, French official hallmark for 950 Silver, 1838-1973 M & V next to mallet in diamond - Master's sign of Maillard Fères & Jules Vazou - 13, rue de Turenne Paris, 1897/1903 Made around 1900 Condition: very well maintained - Silver cleaned and polished, glass undamaged.
