I stripped off the old finish, sanded it down to 320 grit and stained its centers a Red Mahogany. The outer band a Golden Mahogany with metallic brass flake. Three separate, oil-based, polyurethane gloss finish coats, should provide another 50 years of reliable service. I subtracted (-1) for a single dark line across the centerpiece, that refused to fully disappear. less

Note: Center Leaf is being constructed, in the same color stains, with museum band, for a very dashing, glamorous and cohesive look.

History-
The pedestals bear the hallmarks of being precision machine cut & turned. And the Philips head screws, enamel coated steel slide mechanism and threaded foot pad inserts place this table’s production somewhere between 1967-1978.
No evidence of a stamp, number set, brand or makers mark, can be found, anywhere on the underside of table, hardware or pedestal legs.
