Antique Curly Maple Drop Leaf Table 1840s
An antique solid curly or tiger maple drop leaf table dating back to the 1840s era. 2 inch diameter turned legs. A three board top. Center top board is 17 inches wide. Unique rounded and detailed corners were once known as butterfly leaves. Hence, two butterfly corner drop leaves are 11.50 inches wide boards each. Original hand forged hinges that are in good condition. No damaged or replaced parts. Beautiful older refinish and rich patina. Table with leaves up is 40 inches wide by 36 inches long by 28.50 inches tall. End of openings for chair placement are 17 inches wide by 22 inches tall. Guesstimated weight is 100 pounds.
