Max Ingrand was a French artist and designer who was born in 1908 and died in 1969. He was known for his work in glass and is considered one of the most important designers of the mid-20th century. Ingrand was the artistic director of the Italian lighting company Fontana Arte from 1954 to 1964, during which time he created some of the company’s most iconic designs. His work is characterized by its clean lines, bold colors, and innovative use of materials, and continues to be celebrated for its timeless elegance and sophistication.
