A beautiful art deco vase in stoneware made by Charles Gréber the famous French potter from the city of Beauvais. The vase was made around 1920-1930. With nice eggplant and beige colored drip glaze. The vase is 7,75 inches (19,7 cm) high. And it's 5,3" (13,5 cm) wide. It is in excellent condition. The last pictures show a photo of Greber at work and a picture of his spectacular house he built himself in 1911. These pictures are no part of the sale.

Gréber Beauvais.
Around 1890 Charles Gréber (1853-1935) together with his brother ran the stoneware company of their father Johann-Peter. After the death of their father in 1898 Charles took over. From 1899 till 1933 he made salt glazed stoneware. Pottery and ceramic decoration for buildings. He soon became a successful ceramist and accomplished artist well-known throughout France. His son Pierre Gréber (1896-1965) took over in 1933.
