Striking handwoven loom wall hanging made in the Ifugao Province of Luzon in the Philippine Islands. Primarily charcoal black/dark grey with vertical white stripes. Symbolic figures, houses and water images decorate the piece that is made with natural vegetable dyes.
The piece comes with a ornate hand carved fruit wood floral hanging rack, made especially for it - this alone was priced at $175.
Made in the 1970's.
