There are a few areas on the pitcher where you can see some slight wear or markings, but nothing significant or of noticeable concern. The most prominent and remarkable part of this set's condition is the presence on the gold rim and band and how bright, shiny and intact it all still is across the entire set. On two of the tumblers you can see where the gold rim may have a small chip or wear to it, but overall all of the glasses have a noticeable and significant gold shiny rim. The gold band around the neck of the cocktail pitcher us pristine. less

This fabulous set of bright, vintage cocktail tumblers and drink pitcher are part of the "Blendo" glassware line produced by West Virginia Glass Specialty Co. in the mid-late 19th century. In the 1960s, Blendo really hit its stride, attracting popularity and attention with their proprietary "fired-in Ceramic Color Decoration" process, which created the signature colored ombre effect that Blendo is recognized for. In addition, Blendo glassware would usually feature either a shiny gold rim on glasses and bowls, or a shiny gold band around the neck of a pitcher. Due to the popularity and durability of Blendo glassware, its rare to find a set that has maintained and preserved gold as it has usually worn off or chipped away over the years of use. Today, it's the condition and presence of that gold detail that largely determines the rarity and value of your Blendo glass. Lucky us - we have GREAT GOLD on this set!!!! See pics!
This particular set is features a bright and festive, lemony-yellow 'fade' with the shiny gold rim around the glasses and a gold and clear gold band wrapped around the neck of the pitcher. Another great detail to note about Blendo is the "cattail" handle on the pitcher - notice at the top of the handle the glass curves inward and actually never reconnects with the body of the pitcher, creating a cattail-like look.
The 40 oz pitcher has a retro, bulb-like shape with a small footed base and tapered opening at the spout. Glasses are slightly bowed outward opposed to having straight sides, to fit comfortably and easily in your hands.
