- This marvelous Knutsen Steamship Lines cylindrical box is created in gorgeous sterling silver by David Andersen, a Norwegian silversmith in … more This marvelous Knutsen Steamship Lines cylindrical box is created in gorgeous sterling silver by David Andersen, a Norwegian silversmith in production since the 1800s. This particular box is dated after 1940 and has a beautiful blue enamelled emblem of Knutsen Steamship Company on the pull. Hallmarks are: David-Andersen, Norway, Sterling, double scales, 925 S, followed by an 8. Measurements for this fabulous creation are: Height from top to bottom including pull=3-1/2 inches, Diameter=3 inches, Weight=5.562 Troy ounces. This handsome box has been well cared for, gently used and is in excellent vintage condition, free from nicks or repairs. There is some light scratching on the top and under bottom, commensurate with age and use, but does not impact the beauty and usability of this lovely box. It is the perfect addition to your silver collection, particularly if you like the Art Deco/maritime design! less
