This particular box is dated after 1940 and has a beautiful blue enamelled emblem of Knutsen Steamship Company on the pull. Hallmarks are: David-Andersen, Norway, Sterling, double scales, 925 S, followed by an 8. Measurements for this fabulous creation are: Height from top to bottom including pull=3-1/2 inches, Diameter=3 inches, Weight=5.562 Troy ounces. This handsome box has been well cared for, gently used and is in excellent vintage condition, free from nicks or repairs. There is some light scratching on the top and under bottom, commensurate with age and use, but does not impact the beauty and usability of this lovely box.
