An original oil painting on canvas by Max Herve, French artist 1926-2018, "A Pleasant Stroll Through the Park", scene of … more An original oil painting on canvas by Max Herve, French artist 1926-2018, "A Pleasant Stroll Through the Park", scene of two women and a young girl pushing a stroller through a wooded park on a wonderful sunny day, a second grouping of people is visible behind them, 23 1/2" x 28 1/2", the work was probably executed in the 1960's from the age of the canvas, signed Herve Max in the lower right corner front, vibrant strong color through out the entire painting, CA number 3911, CA purchased from a south of England auction house winter of 2023.
The 4 3/8" wide frame is original to the painting. It is a gilded, molded design with a painted ivory panel and gold cove lip. It is a traditional French design.
The painting has been cleaned and varnished to protect the paint film. less
