Description: How about serving up your next seafood gumbo, chowder or French chicken dish in this outstanding clamshell vintage 1976 tureen … more How about serving up your next seafood gumbo, chowder or French chicken dish in this outstanding clamshell vintage 1976 tureen by Fitz and Floyd? It is in very good condition and appears to have been a shelf sitter for most of its previous life. A shell form tureen is glazed in an all-over greige color accented in a Trompe L'Oleil hand-painted cluster of sea stars, coral and various shells. The colors of the grotto motif on top are burnt orange/coral, beige, tan, brown, ochre, lavender and gray, lending this piece to a variety of decor styles. It is functional as well as display worthy.
