- Although the cookware is named CatherinHolm, CatherineHolm was not a person, but rather a factory in Holden, Norway . It … moreAlthough the cookware is named CatherinHolm, CatherineHolm was not a person, but rather a factory in Holden, Norway . It originally was an ironworks established around 1827. The company transitioned to enamelware in 1907, and closed in 1972. The iconic lotus design was created by Grete Prytz Kittlesen, who designed the form and colors, and Arne Clausen, who created the lotus leaf design. These were produced in the 1960s. The metal rim/handle is removable. The maker’s mark is on the inside of the lid. The casserole is 10” across, including the handles and 8” wide without the handles. The casserole is 5” high with the lid. The enamel is in excellent condition, with no chips.. There are a few minor marks in the interior that may be utensil marks. There is some discoloration on the metal rim. And some discoloration on the bottom from use. Please refer to the pictures. less
