Daum Nancy rare vase: Its form is of round squeezed type. Decoration: Wallflowers. Manufactory: Daum Frères / made in France / Nancy, Lorraine, circa 1900-1905. Designer: Daum Frères (Auguste and Antonin Daum). Technique of manufacture: Cameo glass and etched. (Built up with different colored layers and cut back with acid to reveal beautiful designs). Specifications: Stunningly manufactured cameo (casing) glass: Creamy as well as milky white shaded glass, with layers underneath (having yellow-orange and brown-violet glass there). Additionally, orange-red powder is melted into, too. Gorgeous floral etched decorations existing - surface is partially covered with red flower's blossoms with pointed leaves: They are visible on all sides of this vase. It is the so-said wallflower (erysimum cheiri) with leaves, all of them growing out from vase's area below. These characteristic red flower's blossoms with the pointed leaves are of very natural type, causing this vase's very special impression. The vase's surface is shagged. It stands on round foot / the vase's mouth is edged by fringe. The vase's form is of round squeezed type. Hallmarked: There is cameo Daum Nancy signature of circa 1900-1910 with cross of Lorraine visible. Measures: Height 8 cm 3.14 inches. Diameter of vase's mouth 7 cm 2.75 inches. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution less
