Edwardian inlaid mahogany serpentine Wellington cutlery canteen, Francis Newton This is a good mahogany canteen, the contents are incomplete and … Read more Edwardian inlaid mahogany serpentine Wellington cutlery canteen, Francis Newton This is a good mahogany canteen, the contents are incomplete and it dates from circa 1900, cutlery by Francis Newton There are 2 drawers in the box In the lid there are 2 carving knives, in the box there are 12 dinner knives, 6 dinner forks, 10 desert knives and a carving fork The top drawer has 2 knife rests, a carving knife, 7 tea spoons, 6 dinner forks, 12 desert spoons, 2 salt and one mustard spoon The second drawer, has a soup ladle, a gravy spoon, sugar tongs, 5 soup spoons, 2 sauce ladles, 4 tea spoons and 2 mustard spoons The canteen is in good condition with an unused brass plate on the top To be clear there is quite a lot of the set missing and a few of the pieces in the box are not matching The canteen is 9” x 19” x 14” See less
