An extremely scarce Samuel Alcock & Co., English Majolica Mask and Ivy Pitcher, circa 1875. Fresh to market and never seen before. A round bellied cobalt blue body with a broad green collar, a yellow scrolled lip and a brown handle terminating in a mask of a bearded man.
Marked with the raised Alcock pad of the bee hive. Amazingly bold in color and molded with precise detail. Very good conditions, light wear to high points as expected.
There are very few known pieces in the Alcock mold.
Very good, light wear to high points. less
