From my own reference. I learned something interesting about trillium that inspired me to paint one. As well as being beautiful, they are also quite fragile. It can sometimes take 18 years for one to bloom. It's illegal in some states to pick them. This is a watercolor painting finished with colored pencil. Signed and ready to frame.
Nancy Smith studied art at Kalamazoo Institute of Arts, Olivet Nazarene University and then with world renowned artist, Estelle Fedelle, who is best known for her how-to books published by Walter Foster Publications. A life-long learner, Nancy currently studies with Helen Kleczynski, an award winning watercolor and pastel artist in Vicksburg, MI. Nancy’s art has been featured in shows in the Chicagoland area and Southwest Michigan. Many of her pieces are part of private collections across the United States.
