The cubist vase is typical of Schott's futuristic-styled and textured output as the lead designer at the lesser-known glass factory during Sweden's booming glassmaking period that prevailed between the 1940s and the mid 1970s. This one has a textured bubbly relief pattern on all four sides in a deep blueberry-colored cased sommerso that is indescribably mesmerizing when illuminated.

As a flat-based vessel, it makes an eye-catching object to display, and is just as versatile as a vase for arranging a bouquet of cut stems, or as an elegant desk-top accessory (for holding letters, or pencils, etc.), or posed with other sculptured glass objects.
