Description: This piece is an interesting marriage of two styles, a classic spindle back oak seat top, and a steel metal … more This piece is an interesting marriage of two styles, a classic spindle back oak seat top, and a steel metal base with chippy red paint. Totally unique creation and a one of a kind piece. Parts used to make this piece are circa 1950-60s. Stool base could be adjusted for height by moving the screws, however we did not test the screws to see how tight they actually might be, as we found the current height of the piece to be just right! It is at its tallest setting now, with 6 holes spaced 1" apart that would allow for shortening the legs if so desired. Some paint loss to base, and one small sliver chip on the wood seat as seen in photographs which we find contribute to the character of the piece, rather than detract.

We see this piece tucked in a kitchen as a quickly accessible extra seat, or in a teen's bedroom as a study stool. less
