The bowl makes a statement with its unusual shape and transparent appearance. The edges are wavy or sometimes called a handkerchief style because the edges look like the loose edges of a handkerchief.

I don’t know the name of the designer or manufacturer. I also don’t know the exact age of the bowl. It may have been produced in the 1970s or 1980s. The acrylic is very sturdy and approximately 1/4” thick.

The bowl is approximately 17” at the widest point and approximately 10” high. The bottom of the bowl is approximately 9” across. The bowl is so attractive that it can be displayed as a modern sculpture. Of course it can be used to serve food, most likely cold or chilled food, such as a salad or fruit. less
