Alvino Bagni was a renowned Italian ceramist who played an important role in the development of modern ceramics. He was born in Lastra signed, in Italy, in 1919, a region known for its ceramic industry. After the Second World War, Pugi provided Bagni financial support to open his own workshop. Thus began the history of Ceramiche Bagni.

The 1950s and sixty were important years for Bagni, during which he established privileged relationships with several big names in American design, including Raymor (N.Y.) and Rosenthal.

Alvino Bagni died in 2009 at the age of 90, leaving behind an inheritance of creativity, passion and technical skills.
