more
This wall/ceiling lamp was designed by the Italian architect team Marilena Boccato, Gian Nicola Gigante and Antonio Zambusi for Zerbetto Padova in 1976. It can be used as a wall or ceiling lamp. Originally this is an outdoor lamp and therefore waterproof. However this lamp will also fit perfectly indoors for an industrial look and feel. The lights are now ready for larger spaces due to the higher wattage, this can easily be changed to lower wattage. The lamp is a good general condition with small signs of age and use.
Boccato-Gigante- Zambus
Marilena Boccato and Gian Nicola Gigante graduated both in architecture at the IUAV, the University Institute of Architecture of Venice. They studied with De Carlo, Belgiojoso, Albini, Gardella, Samonà, Scarpa and Zevi. During the ‘70es they took part in the group Archstudio, with Antonio Zambusi. They are members of the Ordine degli Architetti of the province of Treviso since1967 and since 1963, respectively. Their professional work follows two different lines: architecture and renovation, with the construction of public and private buildings (either residential or industrial) and the renovation of buildings with a historical value. For what concerns the industrial design, for big companies they have realised projects which have been internationally evaluated and awarded. Boccato and Gigante have directly participated to the development and the fame of the Italian design. The great number of the products designed by these two architects witnesses their great passion for their job. Their projects for new buildings, their renovations and their design have very often been published on the most important specialised reviews. Antonio Zambusi, born in Padua in 1937, graduated in Venice in 1962 and is member of the Ordine degli Architetti of Padua. He works in the areas of renovation, new buildings, interior design, industrial and urban design.
