technique of manufacture: cameo glass & etched (built up with different layers and cut back with acid to reveal beautiful designs) gallé finest vase, excellently decorated glass / finest cutting technique
stunningly manufactured casing glass (rose red & cream white shaded glass layers underneath) with superb etched and cut ornaments: vase’s surface is abundantly decorated with brownish berried twigs running around (= nicest pattern). The bellied vase is of stalky type / it has round small mouth, based on round foot. - it is a nicest work by gallé, of superior craftsmanship. There is cameo signature gallé (type of circa 1920/25) at area below of outer wall existing. Bibliography: carolus hartmann, glasmarken-lexikon ( = encyclopedia of glass marks ), stuttgart (germany) 1997, mark number 3673 on page 176.
