Description: Very rare art deco goldscheider ceramics figurine the young lady with a brunette page-boy head, shown is the german actress … more Very rare art deco goldscheider ceramics figurine the young lady with a brunette page-boy head, shown is the german actress emmy sturm (1900-1977), is wearing turquoise silk pajamas with turned-up hems in a multicolored floral pattern, standing with her legs apart and looking at the ground, she puts both hands in her jacket pockets. On an oval, stepped base in cream color with gray shading on the wall. Artist's signature 'dakon' on the top of the base. Designed by stephan dakon (1904-1997), one of the most important designers who worked for the goldscheider manufactory from 1924 until the mid-fifties. Dakon designed this model circa 1926-1927. Made circa 1930 manufactory: goldscheider vienna / austria material & technique: handcrafted ceramics, white earthenware, hand painted, glossy finish size: height 36.5 cm / 14.37 in width 17.0 cm / 6.69 in depth 7.7 cm / 3.03 in marks: model number 5596 / 80 / 16 goldscheider wien (vienna) manufactory stamp made in austria / hand-decorated painter's and former's signs existing artist's signature on the top of the base bibliography: dechant / goldscheider, goldscheider: firmengeschichte und werkverzeichnis this piece has an attribution mark,
