These candlesticks were made during high victorian period (c.1875-80): they are stunningly made in following manner (baroque style): surface of both candlesticks is excellently ornamented with chasing / chiselled work consisting of bulgings and lines / the candlesticks are attached to broad feet having appearance of a cloverleaf (trefoil). - additionally, each of the candlesticks has a handle (thumb-hold) as well as a broad grommet.
made c.1875 - 80 baroque style silver 800 ( hallmarked ) 1. Branded by sign vc ( = maker's mark or abbreviation of vercelli ) 2. Additionally, number 3 is engraved attention: hallmarks 1 and 2 are quite dimly visible.
