There is a gorgeous bronze figurine presented: it is the pied piper of hamelin* playing the pipe. The figurine's impression is very fine - it is looking like very lifelike ! the man's figurine is clad in medieval garments (hood, shirt, close-fitting pants), attached to a rock in which some tiny figurines are visible. The bronze item stands on round reddish marble base. The figurine's face and hands are made of bone. * the pied piper of hamelin (german: rattenfänger von hameln, also known as the pan piper, the rat-catcher of hamelin) is the subject of a legend concerning the disappearance or death of a great number of children from the town of hamelin (hameln), lower saxony, germany, in the middle ages. The earliest references describe a piper, dressed in multicolored ("pied") clothing, leading the children away from the town never to return.
