Form schubert described by augarten manufactory: the classic “schubert” shape dates back to the biedermeier era - a period in the 19th century that captured the true spirit of the 'viennese' style of the time. Floral patterns which had a particularly elegant and delicate look nestled on the round shape were typical of the biedermeier era. - especially the decoration “maria theresia” - once designed for the hunting lodge of empress maria theresia - is of superb & elegant appearance. The deep green of glaze / varnish - nowadays a very special feature of manufactory - had been an exciting innovation during maria theresia's reign.
