There are no mechanical parts: no hinges, gears or motors. The lampshade is made of white enamelled steel which contains the bulb and is inserted into slots in the plastic base to create different angles of inclination of the lampshade.The red plastic base is weighted on the bottom which stabilizes the whole. The base is marked on the inside with "LAMPIATTA, design De Pas d'Urbino Lomazzi, Stilnovo, Made in Italy" Straightforward and minimalistic design of the 1970s design era.
