This is a superb pair of Mid-Century modernist enamel on copper artworks by Judith Daner. Each panel is one tile plaque mounted on the original walnut wood frame. The abstract and stylized design features cityscape and various types of buildings. Judith Daner used the stenciling technique so that the artwork has a layered dimensional effect rendered in variations of red, orange, dark red, brick, and black enameling. All the various colors are set against a natural pink-copper sky background. The process making took multiple firings to accomplish. Each panel is signed on the bottom right corner with the initials "JD."
Measurements for one panel:
Frame size: 11 in. wide (28 cm) x 16 in. high (40.5 cm).
Plaque size: 7.5 in. wide (19 cm) x 11 in. high (28 cm).
