The light aqua powder coated brass genie bottle shape sits on a brass pedestal and is hand painted with mod tone on tone leaves and concentric diamonds. Fine gold stripe accents and a cast brass finial finish the look.

There is a glass shade under the fabric shade on this lamp which was common to table lamps of that era. The purpose of the glass shade was to provide a heat shield for the high wattage bulbs used back then. The high heat from a lightbulb is not currently an issue with LED bulbs so the lamp can be displayed with or without the lined off-white cloth shade, which just sits in the grooves on the rim of the glass shade. The finial is attached to the fabric shade. The lamp holder accommodates a 3-way bulb (not included). The Rembrandt label is still visible.

The Rembrandt Lamp Company began in 1816 in Baltimore, Maryland. It initially manufactured high-quality gas lamps, but transitioned in the late 1970s when the company was sold to the Harris Marcus Group, from gas to electric lamps.
