I finished this piece on 4/23/23 and it is drying on my easel this week is a light and fresh … more I finished this piece on 4/23/23 and it is drying on my easel this week is a light and fresh seascape of my favorite saltwater coast, the Acadia region. I’ve taken thousands of photos since purchasing my own Maine cottage seven years ago, which looks very much like the cape in this piece.
Although the composition is very much representational, it does offer a nod to the abstract with looser brushwork in the sky and rocky granite coastal rock. This piece is 18x24 with a standard profile canvas suitable for a frame. This is a size that is not hard to frame and would look great in gilded or simplistic styles. The hues would look great in any room. This piece really draws the eyes in.
I have been a gallery represented artist since 2004 and have been in numerous juried shows on the east coast and in the midwest. less
