Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown deep red and gold flecks Italian art glass gondola shaped flared rim decorative bowl. Documented to designer Ercole Barovier, for the Barovier e Toso company. It is created in the Cordonato D' Oro technique, and has a ribbed design on the surface of the body. The pulled sides are curled down creating a unique accent to the bowl, with scallop decoration in the middle part. The entire surface is profusely covered in heavy gold leaf, both inside and outside. Would make a great display piece on any desk, dresser or coffee table. Use it as a catchall, or candy dish. Mid-century era. Measures: 9" long x 3 3/4" tall x 4 1/2" wide.
