Made of ceramic and boasting a green glaze, this garden stool, which was also used as a pedestal for a garden planter, features a circular silhouette, beautifully adorned with animals such as deer and foliage. The piece showcases a round top measuring 11.25 inches of diameter, pierced in its center with geometric patterns which are accented with a blue glaze. The sides are also pierced and adorned with striking guardian lions. Revealing the long Vietnamese ceramic tradition, particularly in the Annam province, an area heavily influenced - and once ruled by - China, the garden seat is raised on a shaped base.
