Vintage Chinese Mother of Pearl inlaid Lacquer tray. Chinoiserie trays & boxes date back to late 19th century. The tray is depicting an all over landscape decoration on tops & sides with an immortal on horseback on the center of the tray.
Large Tray - 13.75 x 8.75 x 0.50 high - shows immortal on horseback - Markers Mark is on back side of this tray.
Mother-of-Pearl lines the shells of Mollusks - Oysters & Abalones are most often used in this type of ornamentation.
