Antique condition with wear commensurate with age and use. Both lamps and the shades have a distressed finish with wear and some losses. The lamps were originally candelabras that have been wired with one lamp bearing a Gilbert Lamp Feed-through Inline Rotary Switch Wire (Patent No. 2,723,327, filed 12/26/1950) as seen in the photograph. Every attempt was made to accurately capture the details and current integrity of the lamps in the pictures.

A gorgeous pair of mid 19th century Charles X period doré candelabras converted to lamps featuring fine metal cast form with aged parcel gilt and a rich black matte painted finish.
Each lamp is raised by a square stepped base in a rich black matte finish adorned with up and down turned gold gilt acanthus leaves. The fluted Corinthian column is finished in a rich black matte painted finish with four point candle arms extending to gold gilt bobeches and candle cups.
The shades are included and are handmade of rustic paper with a black sheen and gold trim on the top and bottom of the shade with a gold gilt liner. The lamps have been wired with one bearing a Gilbert Lamp Feed-through Inline Rotary Switch Wire (Patent No. 2,723,327, filed 12/26/1950). Circa mid 1800s Acquired from a Palm Beach Estate.
