A stunning ornate rocking ink blotter embossed with silver Repoussé metalwork and wood. This fabulous ink blotter features gorgeous flowers, scrolling foliage and windmill motifs.

The ink blotter was used to absorb excess ink when writing with fountain pens. The user would rock the ink blotter over the wet ink, the blotter paper would absorb any excess ink.

*Blotter paper is not included. Unscrew the top handle/knob to dismantle to add blotting paper.
