A bronze female figure by listed sculptor Riccardo Scarpa (1905 – 1999). Scarpa was born in Venice in 1905, came to France in 1928 and died in Paris in 1999. He is well-known as a draftsman, sculptor and medallist. This sculpture is signed and made of bronze with a rich, dark brown patina.
Since 2006 the record price for this artist at auction is 30,547 USD for Femme africaine à la cruche (1946), sold at Artois Enchères in 2021. (MutualArt)
