The seat of the white cast iron chair is the teapot's lid containing two clay pots, three Parrington Seed packets, and a trug holding a trowel and pruners. At the base of the garden chair is a tall metallic silver watering can.

Richard Parrington established his pottery in 1976 – first named Exile Ceramics and later David Parrington Designs based in Whitstable, Kent. He went on to produce an amazing range of teapots that took the form of chairs, motorcycles, rocking horses, stoves, trains and many more unusual and detailed designs.

It is in nice condition with no chips, but there is general all over crazing with stress cracks in the porcelain finish around the handle, which are only on the surface.
