Description: This is a pair of antique prayer chairs imported from France. The chairs have woven rush seats and are made … more This is a pair of antique prayer chairs imported from France. The chairs have woven rush seats and are made from solid wood. The chairs are slightly different which you can see by looking at the legs. One has a burnt in mark (a crown) under the elbow rest top.

Each chair stable but has minor flaws. One has had the front piece of seat trim repaired. You can tell this because the nails look newer. The other chair is missing that same piece of trim and is also missing one of the stabilizing pieces of wood underneath. But again the chair is stable for kneeling and sitting. Each chair measures about 18.5" wide across the top, 18" deep and 37.5" tall. The seat height is 14" and the seat is 15.5" wide. less
