On offer is an extremely rare, stunning and vintage XL Pop Art floor or table lamp composed of a weighted lacquered metal hemisphere in yellow-orange and a hemisphere in white blown glass made in Germany in the 1960s. The lamp base is free to move, but has a firm and secure stand. Gem from the time. A real eye-catcher even unlit.
Manufacturer: DORIA Werke (1948-1986), one of Germany’s renowned lighting companies (label on bottom).
Between the 1960s and closure in 1986, Doria Leuchten received over 30 awards for their designs, including the prestigious IF Design Award for many times.
Design: Prof. Dr. Dr. Wilhelm Braun-Feldweg attr., award winning industrial designer.
Material: lacquered metal, glass.
Measurements: height 17.7" in. (45 cm), diameter 17.7" in. (45 cm).
Lighting: takes one large Edison E27/E26 base screw bulb.
Wattage: we recommend 150w. Works on 220v as well as 110v.
Condition: very good vintage condition with several dents in the lower yellow metal hemisphere. No imperfections to the glass.
Wiring: the lamp has been tested with US American light bulbs under 120v and works flawlessly, no tools or rewiring required. All our goods are originally wired for 220v. Delivery without bulbs.
Shipping: in order to ensure safe transport, the lamp will be dismantled and carefully packed. Assembly required. We recommend expedited shipping, only.
