Each bowl has no breaks or cracks or repair and minor age-appropriate wear and notable chips. The bowls have imperfections in the glazing although a nice shiny finish. The bowls definitely express unique character and shows antique age through the crazing with the usual stilt marks on the front and back. Generally, the bright white spots visible in some of the photos are reflections of light, not chips or damage. One bowl has minor scratches from use and has (2) 1⁄2” chips; (4) 1/8” chips and (2) 1/16” nicks on the front side; One bowl has a 1⁄4” chip and a 3/8” chip on the front and a 5/8” chip on the edge and multiple “flea bite” nicks on the back; and the third bowl has (4) 3/16” chips and one 1⁄4” chip on the front. less

This listing is for a beautiful antique flow … more (Photos show three bowls but this listing is for an individual bowl)
This listing is for a beautiful antique flow blue bowl in the Scinde pattern by Thomas Walker Pottery in England 1839-1856. I inherited these from an estate of Flowing Blue early ironstone transferware.
The bowl measures 10 1/2" in diameter and features a raised rim with 14 panels.
The transfer design is an elaborate and dense foliage border around the broad rim and in the well of the bowl is a central Chinoiserie landscape.
The soup bowl is marked on the underside with the cobalt blue underglaze eagle and garter backstamp of T. Walker, in Tunstall, Staffordshire England that reads: “T. WALKER SCINDE IRONSTONE” (see photos) and "Scinde" pattern mark. The bowl also has another indecipherable mark (likely the blank porcelain manufacturer’s mark) and are impressed with “T. Walker” of Thomas Walker, Lion Works, Tunstall, Staffordshire. Godden mark # 3982, “...c.1845-51”.
