Leo Roscoe (L.R.) Weeks was an illustrator and painter, born in Indiana and raised in Lansing, Michigan. He studied at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, and held membership at the Palette and Chisel Academy of Fine Arts. In 1944 he received the academy's "Gold Medal" award, and he was voted in as President of that society in 1948. He was also a member of the Hoosier Salon and the Wawasee Art Society. He maintained an active career in the fine arts field, exhibiting widely in Chicago and New Jersey.


Condition: The painting is in good condition, with wear consistent with age. There is a small area of impact damage/paint loss by the feet of the figure on the left. Please examine pictures.
