This vintage 1987 teapot from Sunshine Ceramics (one of Paul Cardew's earlier productions) is from England. The Cottage Loaf Bread and Butter Teapot has the appearance of a freshly baked crusty loaf of bread. The teapot's lid is designed to look like a wood cutting board complete with red & white checked cloth topped with a sliced loaf of bread, knife, and stick of butter on dish.
It is in good condition with no chips or cracks, only some age-related crazing in the glaze which is normal.
Measures 9.5" W x 5.5" D x 6.5" H.
Teapot opening is 2 7/8". less
