Royal Satsuma pottery is so beautiful- this particular piece is so vibrantly colored you cannot HELP but admire it.
Lovely geishas in a boat, perhaps on a lake; you can see in the background that there is a bridge with birds flying near. Trees, beautiful flowers both on and surrounding the plate, the attention to detail on the Royal Satsuma pieces is inimitable.
Slight gilt loss, expected for age.
