Offered is a large tray by Couroc of Monterey, California with an inlaid marine/sea life motif featuring 2 sea turtles swimming towards a coral reef. It's an early piece, circa 1950s.
Made of a proprietary black lacquer phenolic resin (water, burn, stain, and detergent resistant plastic) with inlaid abalone shell, coral, mother of pearl and seaweed accents as the coral reef, and pebbled turquoise stone and brass for the turtles.
Retains the Couroc manufacturer's foil label.
Measures 18" long, 12.375" wide, .75" deep less
