I located this beauty in an estate sale in northern CA, I must bring to your attention that this rug does show wear and a couple of old repair, in order to secure the repaired areas they have glued the canvas in the back to secure those repaired area, also there is a couple of area that show wear (pic # 7 right above the peacock tail) but majority of the field is in good condition. all borders and peacock was made of cut shredded cloth on burlap foundation . I must say that this rug could be used as is without spending any money. just use it for its look and age. I believe that this rug was made in late 1800's but since I listed as an Art Deco , i put the circa 1920 but i am sure it was made in pre Art Deco era. See less
