Over the years I have heard this style of turning referred to as Christmas Tree or tree top finials of course due to the shape. The outside measurements are 44" wide by 81" long and the posts are 34" tall. Inside the rails the bed measures 40" by 75". A twin size box spring and mattress in theory should fit however best to double check the sizes with your mattress supplier. Bed is maple, with a poplar headboard. The long side rails are modern replacements to add the additional length to fit a modern mattress. less
